DESIGN AND BUILD OF LANDSCAPING WORKS FOR BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT OF QATAR - PUBLIC PARKS
DURATION: 24 months
Ashghal’s Beautification Committee aims to create a sustainable environment by implementing several task orders that include building central public parks, providing pedestrians and cycles paths, providing street furniture and some decorative lighting, developing Doha Corniche and some beaches, in addition to developing Central Doha area by reviving some internal public roads, vital places, residential areas, and plazas.
The Committee also aims to contribute to creating a social environment with a distinct identity through the participation of community members in creating artwork and planting works in coordination with several ministries and government agencies in the country.
The development includes the design and construction of substantial hard and soft landscaping throughout Doha, which covers an extensive tree planting endeavour, hedging, shrub, and ground cover planting. It also aims to incorporate cycle ways, jogging tracks, and walkways by utilizing pre-cast paving, cobblestones, contrasting bands, and rubber surfacing.
Design elements that reflect various concepts and ideas are realized through the installation of different artworks, signage, and street furniture including litter bins, public seating/benches, bollards, and fencing.
Recreational facilities such as sitting areas, shaded structures, cycle racks, drinking fountains, fitness stations, toilet facilities, and lighting lend additional identity to the parks.
The following were designed and constructed by the company as part of the task orders for the Landscaping Framework Project - 5/6 Park, Post Office Park, Abraj Park, Fereej Chlaib, West Bay Plaza, and Arab League Street, Al Bahr Palace Road, Bani Hajer, and Al Messila Street.
