CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF AL RIFAI MOSQUE - ALEY
Location: Lebanon Duration: 14 Months
Worship Hall, Elliptical Ceiling with Decorative Mosaic, Marble and Granite Finishes at the Courtyard and Al Mida Area, Gold-plated Minaret Domes, 5-meter High Wooden Doors with In-lay, Wooden Windows with Masharabiya, Pathways, Landscape
A distinct structure for worship in itself, the Al-Rifai Mosque in Aley embodies a complex architectural design that is both extravagant and geometric at the same time. It consists of an Elliptical Prayer Hall Ceiling finished in intricate mosaic decor and gold-plated accents over the external concrete dome.
Wooden Mashrabiyas with elaborated designs decorate the internal walls along the entrances and Prayer Hall. Pairs of massive 5-meter high solid wooden doors with pearl inlay epitomizes the grandeur of the structure.
Carefully selected Italian Marble artfully cover the walls and was used all throughout the flooring of the Entrances, Courtyards, Corridors, the Ablution and the Mihrab. Grand Chandeliers hang from the center of the Prayer Hall which gave an overall character to the place.
The Mosque is designed with two lofty minarets finished with gold-plated domes.
Complete Electro-Mechanical Installations were done for the whole structure with full Infrastructure Works.
